ABOUT TEENWORK PARTNERS ​

Teenwork Partners (TWP) is a Massachusetts-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that teaches teens the soft skills,  confidence, and professionalism they need to succeed in their first job. Through skills training, employer  partnerships, and certification programming, TWP prepares teens to walk into the workforce ready. We're  building a growing bench of trainers who can bring our curriculum to life for teens across the region. 

 

THE ROLE 

TWP is seeking motivated, professional development trainers to deliver our workforce-readiness curriculum to  teen participants. This is a contract (1099) position — trainers are added to our Teacher List and matched to  classes based on availability, location, and fit as new sessions are scheduled throughout the year. There is no  guarantee of a set number of classes; opportunities will vary by season and program growth. 

All curriculum and training materials are provided — you don't need to build content from scratch. We want  trainers who bring their own real-world experiences into the room, along with energy, professionalism, and  fresh thinking.

WHAT YOU'LL DO 

• Deliver TWP's professional development curriculum to groups of teens, using provided materials and lesson  plans 

• Create a welcoming, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment for teens of all backgrounds • Mentor and guide participants as they build workplace-readiness skills 

• Provide timely feedback to TWP staff on session outcomes, participant engagement, and program  effectiveness 

• Offer suggestions and ideas for improving and evolving a new program 

• Encourage and promote continued certificate progression, motivating teens to advance through TWP's  certification levels 

• Maintain a professional, reliable presence as a representative of TWP with schools, employer partners, and  families

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR 

• Experience working with or interacting with teens (educational, mentorship, coaching, camp, youth  program, or similar setting) 

• Experience working in professional environments 

• Professional development background — either as a participant or facilitator — a plus

• Comfortable mentoring and engaging teens of diverse backgrounds and experiences

• Strong communicator, punctual, and dependable 

• Open to feedback and coaching, and willing to contribute ideas to help shape and improve a new program

• Reliable transportation to assigned training locations

COMPENSATION 

• $35–$45/hour, based on experience 

• Classes range from 1 to 1.5 hours in length 

• Onboarding stipend: TWP provides a $150 stipend to learn program materials and meet with the Founder to  review questions and concerns prior to your first program class. The stipend is fully paid after the  completion of teaching 3 certification programs (typically one class/week for 5–6 weeks). 

• 1099 independent contractor position 

• Positions assigned by class schedule, location, and trainer availability — trainers on the Teacher List will be  contacted as new sessions are scheduled
